Significant Events

• Installation of a President at Mass or in the meeting. Soon after the election make sure a ceremony is held to install the new president and the executive. Programme is available
• Retreats: January is a good time for a retreat but it is not necessarily the only month. A retreat to renew councils and conferences should be planned annually in your area
• Western Regional AGA and AGM is held on the first full weekend in May which is not Mother’s Day. It is held in different locations. Look for information on upcoming events.
• Feast of Our Lady of the Assumption August 15. Patroness for St. Vincent de Paul in Canada.
• Feast Day of Frederic Ozanam, September 9. Celebrate with a Mass and sharing time with Vincentians. This is a good time to install new presidents. There is also a special Mass printed that you can get from National or in your Conference tool kit.
• Feast Day of St. Vincent de Paul September 27. Celebrate in a memorable way.
